MANGOTSFIELD UNITED (Cossham Street)

Monday 7th March 2011
Southern League Division One South & West

Mangotsfield United 3-2 Wimborne Town
Attendance: 143

Wimborne thought they'd grabbed a (deserved) point when Stokoe scored in the 90th minute but the homesters bundled in a winner, through Tooze, two minutes later to continue their promotion push.

It was a very even contest on the whole with
The Field drawing first blood on the half hour with a sublime strike from Knighton. They had chances to extend their lead (and indeed had a 'goal' chalked off) but just before the break The Magpies were level when, after an almighty scramble, Chudy poked home.

Mangotsfield restored their lead on the hour from the penalty spot when Arndale converted before the dramatic stoppage time events.

Neil Arndale scores from the penalty spot (73m) to put The Field 2-1 up.
